  • Yoghurt and lemon juice mixed together for softening hands.
  • Yoghurt applied to the face every morning will keep the complexion smooth, healthy and fresh. Wash it off after a few minutes with cold water.
  • Avocado on its own makes a wonderful mask. Mash it up and smooth it on. Leave for 15 minutes and gently rinse off with warm water.
  • Banana mash and apply. Leave on for no more than 5 or 10 minutes, then rinse off completely.
  • Pineapple can be peeled leaving 1 cm of fruit on the peel. Smooth it on, flesh side down and rinse off.

Beauty Tips

Day spa beauty tips to bring out that beautiful you.

Rather than looking for beauty in an over-priced day spa beauty products discover it within yourself and then enhance it.

The media seem to suggest that we all need to conform to a certain standard to look beautiful. I think we would all feel a lot more beautiful if we never flicked through a glossy magazine again.

Change your beliefs in relation to beauty and you will change the way you feel and in turn change the way you look.

Beauty is an energy that comes from within. If you are feeling great about yourself and have an open heart, energy will radiate outward from you. On the other hand, if you are feeling bad about yourself your heart is closed and your energy is contained.

This can be proven easily by walking joyfully down the street with a great big smile. Notice how many smiles you get back. It must be a smile that comes from deep genuine happiness. A forced smile will not have the same effect.

Your energy affects people and they don’t even know it. All they know is that they are attracted to you. You make them feel great.

Once we see beyond the way we have been ‘programmed’ by the media we recognize the truth, that beauty comes from within.

The first step toward becoming more beautiful is to improve your self-image. Click here for an easy exercise to improve your body image and self-esteem

Nurture your inner beauty and you will shine!

Commit to living a healthy life in true spa style Drink living waters and eat live foods, Learn to breathe correctly and Exercise regularly.

Get in touch with your body Take up a class in movement, in my opinion, the best options for this purpose are yoga, belly dancing and Pilates. If you are adventurous try a pole dancing class or learn to striptease. A great video or book for both is the S Factor by Sheila Kelley

Have a spa night once per week Exfoliate, have a bath by candlelight, wax, give yourself a pedicure and a manicure put a treatment in your hair and apply a mask. Click here for the ultimate day spa beauty routine.

Take your time to get ready each morning Develop your own morning ritual.

Avoid poisons in your skin and day spa beauty care There are so many wonderful natural beauty products on the market that it is getting easier and easier to make a natural choice. Don’t be misled by the word natural, it is being misused for marketing purposes, read the labels. This list of dangerous chemicals shows you what to avoid. Make your own homemade skin care or buy organic skin and personal care products.

Wear beautiful underwear

Smell divine

Smile and don’t take yourself too seriously!

Home Spa Day

Create a Home Spa…
your very own Day Spa at Home

Create a Home Spa … Bring the Day Spa Experience into your Home. Every woman deserves to feel like a goddess so let’s get started with a Spa Day that will have you tingling from head to toe…

We all need a time out from our busy schedules to indulge, pamper and rejuvenate our body and soul and a Home Spa is a great way to do it. The Spa experience is one to be savoured. The following suggestions will help you create a day just for you.

What you will need:

  • Exfoliant
  • Cleanser
  • Face cream
  • Body cream
  • Mask
  • Herbal Tea
  • Essential oils, oil burner or scented candles
  • Magazine or a good book
  • Robe and slippers
  • Fluffy towels
  • Pumice stone

  1. Prepare your Home Spa…
  2. Take the phone off the hook…
  3. Think about the five senses…
  4. Sight… dim the lights or use candles
  5. Sound… plug in your stereo and put in your favourite relaxation music or if you are a mother you may just want to savour the silence!!!
  6. Smell… choose your favourite essential oil blends for your Home Spa or scented candles
  7. Touch… make sure the room is warm, fluffy towels are a must and of course the world’s most luxurious robe and slippers
  8. Taste… Perhaps some fresh fruit to nibble on and your favourite herbal tea

OK you’ve prepared your Home Spa and everything is looking peaceful and serene Now take a brisk 30-minute walk

Come home and meditate for 20 minutes (It is so much more effective to meditate after exercising)

Now that you’re feeling just so relaxed, too relaxed to do anything but pamper and indulge…

Move to the bathroom and with large circular motions towards the heart exfoliate your body – not the face

Jump in the shower rinse off, wash your face with cleanser and dry yourself…人, 在室内, 家具, 温泉, 按摩, 放松, 石头

It is time to don that cuddly robe and apply your mask, at this point you may wish to apply the treatment to your hair…

Grab a magazine or a good book and relax in your favourite chair while the mask and hair treatment work their magic…

Remember to move slowly… everything in slow controlled movements… forget about the future and the past for the time being and just focus on NOW… be totally in the moment… what do you hear… what do you see… how do you feel… notice the sounds in your garden… around the house… look at things with a sense of wonder and really see them…

This is actually a great thing to practice on a daily basis – we spend so much time in our heads thinking about the past or the future when in reality there is only NOW…, of course, there is a time to make plans and a time to reflect but this is not the time…

Shower again to remove the mask and hair treatment…

Run a warm bath and add your favourite essential oil blend… this will create just the right atmosphere in your Home Spa…

Turn on the music, light your candles and just let your mind drift… nothing to do but relax in the warm water…

Dry yourself off and apply generous amounts of body cream… apply your facial moisturizer…

Take your time getting dressed… put on some pretty feminine clothes… your favourite scent… play with your hair and makeup…

Remember this is nurturing your inner goddess… it will make you happier and healthier… to give to others you must first give to yourself…

Enjoy and above all do it regularly… you deserve it!

Inner beauty

Love Yourself… Improve your body image for the surest way to greater health and beauty

Body image is the foundation for everything. All of the spa treatments and

按摩, 健康, 日语, 指压按摩, 压力点, 中国传统医药, 中国传统医学

beauty products in the world will not bring you true beauty and happiness. You’ve got to LOVE yourself!

Remember the chants “Oooh you love yourself, if you think you’re so great, why don’t you marry yourself then!”

Sounds funny now but sadly the little girl or boy in us all may still be affected by this type of conditioning. Obviously not just from the school yard but from society in general. The tall poppy syndrome!

The sadness of it is that it actually promotes self loathing and the terrible habit of talking yourself down. All of which contribute to low self esteem and poor self image or body image.

Affirmations are a great place to start on the journey home to self love.

Affirmations

Start by taking notice of that little voice in your head. Don’t worry if negative thoughts keep coming just thank them and change them to positive ones.

Thank them because they have served a purpose and now you are changing them to positive ones. Push doubt aside too.

Mastering your mind is the hardest work of all so be patient.

Here are some empowering affirmations to improve your self image;

I love and appreciate myself just as I am.

I love and accept myself completely.

I give thanks for all that I am blessed with.

I am a beautiful soul.

I am loving life and radiating inner beauty.

As a reminder write the affirmations on a card and stick them on the bathroom mirror, the computer, in the car, anywhere that you will see them throughout the day.

The whole topic of body image or self esteem can’t be covered in one page.

If this aspect of your life is lacking then no other area of your life will ever be right. You will need to work on it through reading and meditation.

Self worth, self love, self esteem is the basis of everything. On the other hand if you have mastered this aspect of your life then all other areas of your life will also be perfect – regardless of your current circumstances.

The following quote sums it up perfectly;

“A truly happy person is someone who can enjoy the scenery on a detour”

It’s all about you

Enhance your body image and self-esteem by taking care of yourself in the following ways;

Make the decision now to appreciate yourself more and be kinder to yourself

Treat yourself as you would someone you love

Praise yourself

Celebrate victories, however, small – take a little bow!

Meditate every day even if it’s just 5 minutes to sit still and just be

Soul food

What is your soul food, what really lights you up? This is the key to a better body image or self-image. Nurturing yourself.

Some of mine are;

Walking barefoot on the grass

Singing my head off in the car

峇厘島, Spa, 度假

Going for a walk in the morning or at dusk

Lighting a scented candle before bed

Reading by candlelight

Walking along a deserted beach

Getting a message

Giving a message

Learning something new

Burning essential oils

Taking a leisurely bath

Most of these things can be done on a daily basis and can really nurture your soul. Little things done regularly will build the love you feel for yourself and your connectedness to the universe. The trick is not to rush. Be mindful and quietly observant.

There is only one you in all of the time. You are unique and special. Take care of yourself and let this be the beginning of a beautiful relationship… with yourself!
